I would favor an automatic T for any player (or coach) who immediately states "and 1" after every contested shot. :)

Ding ding. Also one I've heard during the tournament was "that's a tough call as they were both going for the ball".

I handed out one Saturday for that very thing. After the HC was asked to keep his ACs silent.

Hate it. Now everytime a player goes to the free throw line and they miss the first one, someone will inevitably say "Ball Don't Lie" or some form of it. It just drives me insane...

A few summers ago, a player said that. So I asked the FT shooter what his FT percentage was. He said 55%. I told defense, stat's don't lie. :D Then I asked the defense how many fouls he commits each game, because he would be getting a couple more.

I love watching video of the game and hearing the "And 1" and seeing clear video evidence of no foul... it gives me a laugh.

Had a situation this past Sunday where A1 passes the ball through the lane and it goes through untouched, A2 grabs it in the backcourt. My partner calls backcourt violation -- A2 explodes screaming it went off <b1>'s foot... I mean he was soo adament. I watch the tape and I mean its not even close, doesn't touch anyone or go within a foot of anyone.

Out of my area :-P

No cursing, just adamant yelling at my partner. By the time I came up to take the division line throw-in he had calmed down a little... although he did get a delay of game warning.

I second the "and 1" sentiment. This should be an automatic death sentence.

"Are you kidding me?" "It was clean!" "All ball!" "How can that not be a foul?" I could happily live a long time without hearing any of those again.

Boy - the phrase I never want to hear again is, "You have the right to remain silent. If you give up the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney........"
