star

Anyone know how to make that with your keyboard?

I did it by copying and pasting from someone else's post.

Although looking at the page's source after I used &#8902 ; (remove space), and it is different than the "star" text that produced your star, who cares? It works. Google HTML entities for all HTML codes.

Planning on starting your own spam business? Or are you going to start posting reviews of movies, restaurants, or hotels, on the Forum?

Wingdings font. Alt-0171

I don't know if that's an option on this board.

On the typewriter, we made them with a Capital A overlayed with a lower case v. ;)

It was a pretty cool gadget, sort of like a hybrid computer and printer; but I'm pretty sure they had less than 1KB of memory.

Pretty sure most operators had less than 1KB of memory too.

But there was likely a version of DOS written for it.

True, and I'm pretty sure a good number of corporations are still using it.

For whatever it's worth, it does not show up as a star on my screen; it's more like a square, with dark lines at the top and bottom, and lighter-colored lines on the sides.

Maybe I'm still using DOS?

As a technology professional, I recommend you upgrade your OS and browser.

I'm seeing the same thing M&M is; and I'm on a state-of-the-art military machine.

Hey, stop laughing.

Oops, sorry - didn't see that last part until I wiped the Diet Pepsi off my screen. :D (You know, that 13" CRT monitor...)

I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one with a problem. I mean, the problem of viewing the star...

Should I be wearing my purple leisure suit while I install my new version of Windows?
