Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there, and all you
mutha's, err, mothers too. IMO, a good father needs to have excellent judgement, mechanics and management skills. Consider the following illustrative example: Son: Hey Dad, can I borrow the car? Betty-Sue and I wanna drive a bunch of friends down to D.C. to see Eminem. Dad: (stops laughing) You're kidding me, right? Shows excellent judgement! Son: Awww, come on! You're always treating me like a kid! Dad: Well, you can always get yourself a second job and buy your own a car...insurance aint gonna be cheap. Excellent game management skills! Son: Ah, it doesn't matter anyway, 'cause your rear tire's going flat and there's a funny noise coming from somewhere in the front. Dad: Grumble...grumble...grumble... About to demonstrate excellent mechanical skills...

Dan --
Happy Father's Day to you too!! You have demonstrated the most important trait a good ref, or a good father must have, a sense of humor. You must have a very happy family, and many happy games. |
