No, not Diebler
Some of you may remember Charlie Sitton from Oregon State.
A 6' 8" forward, he played for Oregon State from 1981 to 1984. As a freshman, he was a member of the last Oregon State team to achieve a number 1 ranking in 1981. He was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Pac-10 selection, and was chosen as Oregon State's MVP in 1983. Sitton was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the 1984 NBA Draft and played one season for the Dallas Mavericks before traveling to Europe, where he played an additional five years in Italy, France and Belgium. He was named to both the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the OSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. Why did I bother posting this? Sitton was the coach of a 7th grade boys rec team I had in my game last night. Oh yeah - they won big. You could tell they were well coached. Note to you Portland area refs - the team was from West Linn. He must live there now because I'm sure one of the kids on the team was his son.
