That's called "guessing". And an "educated" guess is still wrong.

When a ball goes OB and you didn't see who touched it last, but use the trick of waiting to see which way the players go, do you follow their lead, or ask your P for help with possibly going to the arrow?

Because that too, the official did not see, even if he uses the trick and ends up getting the call correct.
