Mark, Mark, Mark!! Jealously is such a petty emotion. Don't blame the Yankees because Boston sucks so bad. How many World Series has Boston won? Have they won any? I believe the Yankees have won 25!!!!! It's O.K., you can become a Yankee fan if you want to. Maybe you and Chuck could "cross over" together.

Apparently, Dan is trying to find the upper limit on the number of rounds he must buy on the 16th to convince me that he is actually a good guy.

Actually,it's a 1 game lead,Chuck. In the interest of fairness,I must also point out, that out of the Sox's 35 wins to-date,approximately 28 have been against Tampa Bay and Toronto!
Gotta admit, though, the Sox are playing well since they cleaned house.

Btw,Dan IS a good guy.You buy!
Let's check the standings after this weekend's series -- at Yankee Stadium where, according to ESPN, the Bosox have lost 7 straight. Hoping to be in 1st. place (where the Yankees belong) come Monday.

'67. Triple Crown took 'em to the Series that year.

Au contraire, Mr. Smartypants. In the interest of accuracy, let me point out that of Boston's 35 wins, only 11 have come against Tampa Bay and Toronto. Admittedly, there are also 6 wins against the Orioles and 4 against KC; but they've also taken 5 of 8 from the Yankees (who, by the way, SUCK), and held their own against Seattle, winning 3 of 6.

So there! ththththtpbpbbpbphthbpbph!!

Chuck

P.S. - The Yankees, on the other hand, have 14 wins (out of their 36) against TB and Tor.

You're too quick for me, JR. Once you edited your post, I deleted mine. But you responded to it before I could delete it!

I'm glad the "Mr. Smartypants" comment put you in your place!

Al Kaline.

I admired Al Kaline too. Some other great Tiger names:

Mickey Lolich, Denny McClain, Gates Brown, Norm Cash,
Willie Horton, Mickey Stanley, Bill Freehan (didn't Pete
Rose end his career in an allstar game?) and my favorite to
say: Bill Monbouquette.

Yeah, I'll be working out on the clicker tonight too. I
would like to catch the Lakers/Kings too but I won't be
able to stay up, I have 3 AAU games Saturday. I can't
wait, these AAU games are fun! Anybody else out there
work AAU? Let's discuss...

What I can't understand is how a fine, upstanding young
Connecticutter (Connecticon? Connecticite?) like Mark ended
up being (I hope this gets through the censors) a Red Sox
fan? I mean, what gawd-fersaken, primitive, backwater part
of CT could he have grown up in? Must be close to the MA
border, like around Springfield. Yeah, I could understand
how someone from Springfield could be a Red Sox fan
(shudder), but someone from Connecticut? Boggles the mind...

LOL, wrong "JR", Jeff. The "smartypants" was directed at Jurassic Ref. I ususally refer to you as Rut, since you don't seem to mind. (If you do mind, I'll switch to "Jeff", but I only knew your last name until I came to this board).
