[QUOTE=tjones1;558808]I wasn't too far from you. I was in Charleston last night. Roads were fine last night (tonight is a different story). Speaking of Padgett...we had OT.

I was in Charleston on Wednesday afternoon but not to ref. I was working my way thru some clients in Matoon, Charleston, Tuscola and finished in Champaign.

Nice. Did you eat at the (orginal-sort of) Jimmy John's?

Out on the Trail

Tuesday night, had a Frosh A Boys Tourney, (Chicago western suburb) double header scheduled for 5 and 6:30pm. Let work at 2:30p for trip would should have taken 45-50 minutes tops. I walked in the gym at 7:10pm just in time to watch partner inbound ball for start of second half. Only took 2-hours to travel the last 6-miles.

Not a fun trip, I called the AD several times to keep him posted on progress.

Well games got cancelled yesterday and today.

Both games are on for tomorrow. Only time will tell.

Peace

Varsity game tonight cancelled, I have three tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank You, Illinois

Most schools closed today (Friday). Tonight's games are still on at the school at which I was assigned. Though more weather is moving in later tonight (thank you to all my Illinois friends for sending it our way--once your weather is processed through the Lake Michigan "Lake Effect Snow Factory", we really get dumped on here!) tomorrow's games should be okay.

In November, Indiana and parts of Michigan got hammered by the so-called "Lake Effect Snow" and the State of Illinois did not get touched. Michigan is after all connected to the Lake "Michigan" too. I do not know that all of that comes our way. The storm that hammered Illinois hit a lot of central Illinois where I am currently located. They never get what is called "Lake Effect Snow." I think this was just your old fashion weather event.

Peace

My assigner is going to go crazy, Friday nights are the busiest nights for basketball here in the Constitution State.

I just got both games back, Sunday morning, and Monday night. $168.88 back in my pocket.

Prep school. This is a makeup due to tonight's snowstorm, originally scheduled for Saturday morning. Last year I had a prep school game originally scheduled on a Sunday afternoon.

I am only talking high schools and below now

Actually I do not see the big deal about Sunday like others might. It just does not happen in this state very often and when it there are games on Sunday, it is usually a tournament or shootout held off of a high school campus. I am even working a Christmas Tournament in about a week and they start the day after Christmas. It is a 4 day tournament and this year Sunday interrupts the tournament in the middle (first time this is the case since I have been working the tournament). Then we start up on Monday. There are certainly summer tournaments or leagues played on Sunday, not sure why this cannot be done during the regular season more often. I would really think this would be the case when you are trying to fit games into place.

Peace

Nice day yesterday and nice morning so far... but now they're calling for snow after lunch and very cold temps with 30 - 40 mph winds tomorrow. Glad I have a early afternoon game and only have to drive 4 minutes to the gym. Also hope roads are good for church tomorrow!
