I just opened up my mail and it contained my summer league (one of the two I work) schedule and I see that I have three games scheduled with Juulie on May 31! This is a HS girls league. We play 16 minute stop time halves with the normal number of timeouts. Three of these in a row on a full sized court is real work.
If any of you are interested, I will be glad to tape the games and then offer them for sale on ebay. After all, Juulie probably will be wearing shorts! Of course, so will I, so that will bring the bidding way down.  BTW - the info packet says we should wear our patch. Gee - I've never officiated in my pirate costume before. Also BTW - the following week, Juulie has games scheduled with the "Original Dave." Hope he says something funny.

HOLY COWPIE! What have I started? I guess Juulie and I will have to set some ground rules.
BTW - she emailed me and pointed out that there are some other dates in which we are working at the same facility at the same time but in different gyms. Usually, in this league, they don't care if you switch partners on site (just for basketball - so get your minds out of the gutter ), so we'll probably get to work a few more games together. Actually, I was just kidding about the tape. If Juulie wants to bring her equipment (VIDEO equipment - get your minds out of the gutter ) and tape for eval purposes, that's fine with me. Also BTW - I only shave my legs for J. Edgar Hoover - and he's dead (OK, you can have your minds in the gutter for this one ). When we get to the gym and have our pregame (MEETING - get your minds back out of the gutter ), I'll remind her of my two rules: 1) I am always right, except if my wife is within earshot. 2) When in doubt, see rule number 1. Really folks - Juulie and I have officiated together in the past and it's always been a lot of fun. I've worked with close to 1000 partners in my career and I don't know of any that are as dedicated to being the best referee possible as she is. She works hard, always is trying to get better and respects her partner. That rates an "A" in my book. And Juulie - don't forget to bring the Diet Snapple. I like the peach iced tea. Thanks.
