First things first. Thank you for removing the change. I truly appreciate it.

This is obviously a difference in philosophy between us. WHY are OT posts within threads not okay? Was that in the "Terms of Usage" when I opened my account on the forum? Has Brad issued a mid-season directive and I didn't get the bulletin? Just because one esteemed member got steamed and a few people agreed doesn't make a mandate for sweeping change in moderating guidelines.

Look, OT comments are part of many conversations (although clearly not all). When a topic has been covered, the discussion moves along. Same thing is true on the forum. Sometimes (although clearly not always) a topic is covered quickly and the discussion moves along. There's nothing wrong with that. If you click on it and don't like where it's headed, you just don't click on it again, or quickly click next thread.

I was goign to try to add the "OT" phrase to threads that were no longer germane to the topic being discussed.
Once again, I have to say that IMHO, this is OOO. Just leave it alone. It's going to be fine for the rest of the season, and then it will be a problem again in the summer. Make sure people aren't abusive to each other, but there's no need for an "on-topic police".
