This is the very reason I have not worn a flag for basketball. This is way too much work to fit everyone's standards. In football at least the crew can decide what we are going to wear and we move on. I do not have to adhere to 20 different standards.

Peace

I've made the recommendation we don't wear flags. Aside from Rut's issues, I can't find any consistency on where guy's put the flags on their shirts. Some do 2 inches from the top, others 2 inches from the bottom, others wrong arm...

Lapel flag pins look nice. Flags on black and white striped shirts don't.

Exactly why as an unspoken rule (idk why it's not an actual rule) my association doesn't want us wearing flags.

There's also the fact that the US flag code also prohibits the wearing of the flag on a uniform; except for police, fire (I think), and military.

Again, since there's (rightly) no enforcement in place for the code, it's left up to individuals to follow on their own.

United States Flag Code 176(j): No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations.
