Bag/Suitcase

What does everyone carry their stuff in? A bag? Suitcase? I have a suitcase with wheels, but I don't like how my stuff moves when I pick it up to roll it. Any suggestions on how to limit this, or any suggestions as to what they use would be greatly appreciated.

Suitcase with wheels is the best way to go in my opinion. This is the easiest way to drag stuff in a gym when you are walking a mile (it seems) into a gym from the parking lot. It also in my opinion looks more professional like you are there for business and not there to play a game.

Peace

I will be using a small suitcase with wheels this year for the first time, based on some advice I received at camp. The reason is to appear more professional than when I carry my enormous duffle bag. I do like to have 2 pairs of shoes with me at all times, so I will probably use one of those small drawstring sacks to carry my extra pair of shoes in the car instead of in my bag. As far as stuff moving around inside, I'm not too worried about that.

Annual discussion......

I use a suitcase with wheels. It works great for me; with the one I have it allows enough room to fit everything I take.

Now, there are some people who would disagree...M&M... do you wanna take this one?

I think you'll find it's all personal preference, like shoes. I happen to like the suitcase because pulling it seems a lot easier to me, in most cases. There are some instances where I can't (gravel parking lot, through snow, etc.), but it doesn't happen too often. Others prefer the over-the-shoulder bag for those reasons. I try to get the smallest rolling suitcase available, so that my things tend to fill it up, and they don't shift around while moving it from place to place. Maybe you just need a smaller case?

Then there are some forum members that use those PODS portable units since mere suitcases would never hold all of their gear, right Tanner?

Suitcase on wheels for me too. As for the OP stuff moving around, maybe try a smaller suitcase. I generally put my shoes on the bottom. Followed by a couple pair of pants, a couple shirts, jacket, rulebook, essentials & of course my camcorder & tripod.

Well, it's a pretty good deal and they promise I won't ever be without anything. It is a pain calling the schools two days before and getting it close to the locker room.

I used a suitcase when I was in Iowa. After being the only guy with a suitcase, it seems, out in the nether regions of Colorado, I went back to my duffle. I'll start with the suitcase here, but have no desire to stick out yet.

Here in Oregon, whatever type of bag we use better be water repellent. Oh yeah - and fit on the back of a bicycle.

As far as stuff moving around and staying wrinkle free, I found these work real well...

Fed refs bring shoulder bags to Fed games and use Fed mechanics.

I bring my gear in a hefty trash bag and don't actually use mechanics. What does that make me?

We've go some tranfers on our local board that come dressed in uniform for a high school game, don't shower, and just walk out of the gym to the parking lot after the game.
