One foot or Two

(Assume frontcourt status has been gained for play #1)
(1)If a player is leaping from backcourt to frontcourt and touches down with one foot then catches the ball, is it a violation?
(2)Simular question regarding coming from outbounds and estabalishing court status with one foot inbounds and touching the ball.

No. The player is in frontcourt.

No violation. Player is inbounds.

Right. But that second situation is a tough one NOT to react to as a violation. I've seen it several times this season, and twice I've blown my whistle, only to quickly call it an inadvertent whistle because the player had a foot inbounds and give it back to that team. It "looks" bad when it happens, and probably few fans/coaches would contest the call, but it is in fact legal as long as one foot has touched inbounds and the other is not touching the floor OOB.
