Um...when did Illinois go winless?

(I'm assuming U of M doesn't offer math classes? ;))

What? Phshaw! Here in DC we are looking forward to the inaugural "Congressional Bowl!" Scheduled to be held annually starting hopefully this Dec between one of the Service Academies and a TBD opponent. THIS is going to be one of the biggies!

Anyone recommend a sponsor? (C'mon, I know you guys can come up with some good ones!)

1997 0-11
And winless in the Big Ten in 2003 and 2005 both years 0-8.

Now when did Illinois win a National Championship in either Basketball or Football?

1914, 1919, 1923, 1927, 1951

All of which are more recent than the last Cubs WS championship.

Am I helping, Jim?

National championships, football: 4 times. There was also 1951, but the school doesn't recognize that year, for some reason.

Big Ten championships, football: 15 times.

National championships, basketball: 1 time.

NCAA Final Four, basketball: 5 times.

Big Ten championships, basketball: 17 times.

Big Ten Tournament championships: 2 times.

Why do you ask?

OK, I'll get it started. How about if our two major political parties share the sponsorship. The RNC / DNC BOWL !!!

Fixed it for you. It would be great to have an Irishman in the White House.
