Thumbs down OT - Kicking and screaming: Ban possible after Cuban pops ref

From the USAToday.

"The referee needed stitches in his lip after being kicked in the face Saturday by an angry loser in the semifinals of Olympic taekwondo. In addition to seeking a lifetime ban of the fighter from Cuba, the Seoul-based World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) said it may press legal charges."

Taekwondo has really had it's problems at this Olympiad. Entire aricle at:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/olymp...r-banned_N.htm

Why wasn't this thread posted on the Official Forum Taekwondo site? Hardly anyone ever posts anything on the Taekwondo site, it's usually pretty quiet there, most often it's just Jurassic Referee complaining about "wimmen's" taekwondo. I'm sure that taekwondo officials would find this article very interesting.

Naw, that don't bother me.

Don't get me going about the clowns who insist on posting stoopid pictures about Wimmens Taekwondo though.

I looked! Really I did. I couldn't find the site! Stupid web browser!

Figured we've talked about fellow refs being verbally and on occasion physically abused, but I can't recall any of us getting kicked in the face before! A new low? Maybe not. Someone will probably come by and top it!

Sorry Jurassic Referee. I couldn't find any images to post when I searched for "Wimmens Taekwondo", but I did find this image (below) when I searched for "Womens Taekwondo". I hope that it will suffice. Are you sure that the correct spelling is "Wimmens"?

I would not go too far with that. They can probably kick your azz.

Peace

Actually, he's signaling a violation for having an unauthorized player on the field; looks like some Laker wandered in. He must have been appearing at a nearby charity event or something.

It's never mattered how off topic a thread has been in this forum.

You get PAID to officiate her games. You lucky dog.

Croquet forum? I'd love to share some stories there, including one where my (good natured) trash talk led to an opponent splitting my ball in two.

Are you still working 2-man? Around here we went to 3-man a long time ago. My problem is I get in trouble for making calls out of my primary.

If that's the case, I'll be looking for your answers on the Croquet Forum.
