I was told there was a study done on this recently. It estimated that a college Men's official ran about 4.2 miles each game (longer court). And it estimated that HS officials likely ran around 3.2 miles. Of course this conversation was in passing and I do not have the reference to the exact study. This was just talked about as to how much running we do and how level changes. I guess on average the Women's sides run less at each level.
Peace

I figured it was about 1.5 -2.0 for the MS/AAU tourneys I work. I think 2.0 would be on the high side...Whomever said there is not much pace is dead on....I did have a JV level summer game two weeks ago that played 16 minute halves and the final score was 98-95 and there was a stretch of what seemed like 5 minutes where it was back and forth scoring....up and down the floor with no whistles....I was feeling the PACE then!

Infamous One Person Game.......
While it also depends on age, level of play, size of gym, etc., what about when forced to work by yourself? Foul line to foul line vs staying ahead of fast breaks and inbounding the ball on the baseline and playing catch-up...... thoughts?

If figure I run between 1.5 and 4-5 miles a game depending on the game. I did the pedometer bit for a few games and got numbers from below 2 to above 4.
