Thanks for the help with my tournament planning over the past week.
Here's an update. I went from having 10 teams and having one team quit. So I was down to 9. Then one of the teams offered to send in a second team.... back to 10. Today two other teams backed out. So now I'm down to eight and this will make it easy to figure out. This is a lot of work. One thing I've learned is that next time I have a tournament, I have to ask for the enrollement fee up-front. Thanks for the help guys! Ren |

To avoid problems, restrict your future tourneys to eight teams. First eight with their entry fees are in. Others go on waiting list in case someone drops out. Eight is a perfect number for scheduling. Save yourself a lot of grief.

In speaking with the coaches... consensus was that they didn`t care who they played... just that they wanted to play.
I`ve seeded the teams and teams will either go into a Championship or Consolation division depending on their first game. Most teams will play 4 games and everyone is happy. I`m glad I was assigning my own officials to these games as I`ve had to redo the schedule 3 times in the past 4 days. Hopefully, this will be the end of it. I`ll keep my fingers crossed. |

update number 2.
Just to let all of you know that the tourney was held yesterday and today and went off without a hitch.
My team won the Championship 36-18. #1 and #2 teams from regular season ended up in the Championship. We had many excellent games as well as some excellent officiating. Ren |
