Kent State just beat Oklahoma State. Ok, not the biggest upset ever (10 over 7), but still a good start to the tourney. I picked 'em!

 And we're supposed to believe that you meant to pick Kent St. over OSU. Sounds like a keystroke error to me!  I'm also confused how Dumarot got a copy of my brackets! And, even more confusing, why would he want to copy them!!  The first day killed me last year, too.

I'm bummed about the Zags, too.
Did anybody notice that the Stanford/Western KY game started with a technical foul b/c Stanford didn't submit its roster before the 10-minute mark? I've never called that, I've never seen it called before today, and I never thought that I'd see it happen. And then when it does, it's in the first round of the NCAA's!!! Unbelievable. Chuck

False double foul.
Foul by Arizona player in the post. UCSB player had just give him a little shove. Zona player jumped back into him and hit him in the face with his arm. Center whistled the foul about the time the UCSB player pushed the Zona player to the floor. L came in with a foul on the UCSB player. They talked and correctly decided that the second foul was during a dead ball and therefore, a T. They shot 2 FTs but didn't give the ball to Zona. By rule, this is a direct, intentional technical foul, charged to the player and counts towards his 5 personals. Zona should have gotten the ball. NCAA 10-13,14 Section 13. Intentional Technical Fouls Art. 1. An intentional technical foul involves intentionally contacting an opponent in a non-flagrant manner when the ball is dead. Section 14. Penalty for Intentional Technical Fouls Art. 1. The penalty for an intentional technical foul shall be two free throws awarded to any member of the offended team and possession of the ball to the offended team at the division line. Guess where Hank Nichols is? Yep, just the crew's luck.
