He wasn't calling the officials seeing-eye dogs. I'm sorry if I was unclear. His point was that the league would consider any official satisfactory in a pinch, even if the official needed a seeing-eye dog to get around. He wasn't calling us dogs, or calling us blind. He was only saying that even a blind referee would be ok with the league, as long as he wore stripes and a whistle.
