Screw the Texas Rangers and the trusty steed that they rode in on too. I am the #1 fan of the Hackensack Hormones.

Ah yes, the Cubsters. I see that Ryan Dempster just signed a 4-year contract...and immediately went on the Kerry Wood Memorial 1461 day(including Leap Year) Disabled List.

Btw, do you know how to make a Hormone?

It looks like they're not going to keep Kerry any more, seeing they did not offer him a contract, and he's filed for free agency. That's too bad - he was always a stand-up guy with bad luck with injuries. It would've been nice to have him retire a Cub, but I know he understands business is business.

From one year ago, up to, and including the early part of the season, I was hoping that the Theo Epstein would trade Coco Crisp to free up some money for a starting pitcher to replace Curt Schilling in the rotation. I now admit that I was wrong. He was a great backup outfielder, never complained about playing time, was able to fill in with the many Red Sox injuries, and was able to fill a spot when Jacoby Ellsbury went into his sophomore slump. Control over the Yankees organization passes to George Steinbrenner's youngest son, Hal. Hank says he's ok with it. Anybody want to bet otherwise?

Mussina retires with 270 wins. Any consideration for the Hall of Fame? He's just a little short of the "magic" number. Does he have a shot?
