From what I read, ex-manager was pressuring the *quite* young roster to the point of over-frustration.

Is this breaking news, Mick?

BTW, I see the Yankees have been eliminated and Hank has been eating some sour grapes.

It's pretty current news.
Plus, the Tigers took control of the cellar from the Royals!

Did Junior finally get Daddy Ford's attention? I'm surprised it took this long, to be honest. But I kind of liked Millen from his TV days, so I'm a little sad for him that he couldn't do a better job.

The only thing that I can figger is that Millen must have had a picture of Daddy Ford driving a chevvy.

I think if Millen can/could just hold on a little longer and get to the draft he could take either Passmore, of Marshall or Love, of BallSt (both excellent WR's) and all his problems would be solved!

Sox give AL MVP Dustin Pedroia a huge long-term deal: 6-years, $40.5 million.

Yanks offer arbitration to exactly nobody.

ESPN guy Rob Parker ? says it was selfish of Pedroia to sign for such a paltry amount. Says this amount is not worthy of an MVP and will cheapen offers for others in a similar position in the future.

Sports writer for the Detroit News. One of the guy's on ESPN First Take that takes turns sparring with Skip Bayless, sometimes known as Skip Clueless.

In this day and age, with our current economy, my heart truly bleeds for someone "only" making $40.5 million over 6 years........if they can't live on that for a while, tell em all to go get a job! "Cheapen the offers of others" who follow....sheesh!
