I suppose you wouldn't mind if the White Sox or Twins started trading some of their starters to the NL either? :D

Do you think the Tigers will make a move by the deadline?

I guess that wouldn't be considered as an attack on a U.S. property. :(

Only a runner on first.

Wouldn't be smart, as it would start a war with high school students everywhere.

Well, only the radical high school students.

It would for the time being.

That's exactly what the batter said.

I heard they rejected the foreign takeover, so it will remain on American soil for a while longer.

Adam Wed Jul 09, 2008 09:31am

They're shooting for a hostile takeover now, it seems.

Nope, I wouldn't mind.
I hold my breath whenever Fernando Rodney relieves and when Nate Robertson starts. Edgar Renteria has supposedly been shown a problem at the plate. Magglio Ordonez and Brandon Inge should return. Zoom-Zoom is back at a 100 mph. Ramon Santiago is back. The minor league backups are in and out and producing.
Nope, no moves.

Wow! Close to the middle of July and the Rangers have wild card possibilities.

Paul Bird, Indians reliever, was just replaced and, though he wanted to stay in, it appeared that as he walked pass the plate ump, he said, "Good job, ...."

So I was surfing Wikipedia today and there are some amazing baseball facts on there.

For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_...Baseball_feats shows that Carlos Delgado is the only player in MLB history with a perfect hitting game. Joe Carter has a distinction, too.

Imagine starting your career like Kevin Kouzmanoff? :) Well, actually we all do... right? We're all expected to officiate perfectly in our first game. :p

Fun stuff! My gf says that she would be impressed by 9 consective strikes to retire a side... in a pitcher's first MLB appearance.

(A minute goes by...)

Ooops - just found it. It's the "immaculate inning."

Larry Yount - the player that never played.

Enough of my rambling.

PS: Lcubed is correct.
