I was in Vegas at one of my friend's house watching this game and I was giving him the business about UCLA's good fortunes lately. He took it all in good stride - he has been rather close to the situation. :)

Isn't that what Pepto Bismal is for?

It does seem like UCLA has been getting the long end of the stick at the end of games this season.

You saw the whole game 10 times? Why? Did you think the score would change? If you believe the 3 officials missed this call, then they apparently did not receive their training in CA. As everyone knows, the CA trained officicals are ready for college ball in only 3 years. Maybe they need remedial training. :) UCLA definitely got outplayed until Love decided to take over for a couple of minutes.

Yes. He is one of my best friends with or without basketball. I stay at his house every time I go back home (Vegas).

I'm thinking they lost their poise.

I watch a lot of video. It's the best way for me to get better. I don't just watch plays to see if it was right or wrong; I watch to see positioning and communication among other things.
I never said that CA officials are ready in 3 years. I said the opportunity in SoCal in my area is there to be ready in 3 years. Not everybody does all the work some of us have done to get prepared. Not everybody improves at the same rate or starts at the same point. All the officials I've seen advance that quickly were former collegiate players which I think gives one a feel for the game that is hard to duplicate.

Or gives one a very good network of the "right" people.
