Question

Just a question - not really basketball related.

I have noticed several people here (specifically crew) refering to "nc2a". I understand this is another way of writing "ncaa". My question is why? It is the same number of key strokes, and if anything, is more confusing.

Curiously yours,

Some people call it NCAA, NC2A, NC double A, NC two A. Its all a matter of preference.
Some people call the Portland Trail Blazers, just the Blazers. Why do they call Villanova, just Nova on TV? Aren't they Villanova. After all there is a university in Florida called Nova.

Things that make you say hmmmmm
