Socks - Thorlos

Well I finally found a sock that I really liked. It was the New Balance all-purpose court sock. Mine have almost bit the big one and I was getting ready to order more only to find out they quit making them - go figure, that's how it usually works!

Anyways, I am eye-balling the Thorlos Over-the-Calf Support Socks. Anybody wear this sock? If so, comments?

I have found the WrightSock to be very comfortable. Expensive, yet durable and satisfying.

Yep....after going through several types/brands of sock, I got some of these about 5-6 years ago. I then threw out all the others and bought several more pairs of the Thorlo's. They are the best sock I've found....a bit more expensive than most of the rest I tried, but worth every penny.

Been wearing Thorlo's since 1999. Wouldn't wear anything else.

Other than the new coolmax hiking socks they make, which are pretty decent, I've always hated Thorlo. I have swamp foot when I wear their socks.

Anyway, there's only one name in socks for athletic purposes (and believe me when I say I've tried them ALL): Feetures. They come in a regular and light (thin) version in quarter length and crew. Also in no show, but I doubt many officials are interested in that. They don't saturate, feel like you are holding water, or keep your feet hot. I have to wear 2 pair, and I wear the lights then the regular on top. Works perfect for me and socks have always been a problem before this.

The only problem with them is that the black socks -- mainly the regular -- do fade a little over time. Its funny that (for me) the lights don't fade, but that's what I wear on bottom! That shouldn't be a big problem, and I keep several pair and wear them all throughout the year. I also wear the lights (white) under my football socks in the fall and they are the only socks I run and work out in.

I'm a fan of Under Armour's athletic socks. They're thick, soft, and do a good job of staying dry. After a season of use they have not faded. Although you can not wash/dry them with towels, as you'll have the lint ball effect on them.

I have also heard good things about Thorlos

That's what I wear. Their double layer design is great for people with foot issues, especially diabetics, of which I am one.

I wear the Gerry Davis sock. I have worn them for about 5 or 6 years and I have about 12 pair in rotation. They hold up very well.

Camron and Juggling,

Is this the only thing you wear or do you wear the Thorlo over another sock?

I just got mine in today!
