In our county, all of the freshmen teams meet at one gym to play games. Since there are only seven teams, one team gets to play twice for a total of four games. Each team has their own coach but usually the head coach form the varisty team is present also. In this case, one of the head coaches is sitting at the table, doing the official book for the game. Every time an official reports a foul, he has some snide remark to make. When one official tries to say something like, "You know you can't comment on the officiating from the table", he answers with, "I wouldn't have to if ya'll would make better calls, etc." How do handle such a situation?

Absolutely gone....
Either the head coach is gone, or you should leave. Is he (head coach) a teacher at the school? Would he tolerate this insubordination in his classrom? I hope not.
I would also be contacting the Athletic Director about this. The head coach is NOT a positive role model.
