No, but I've worked at the Sam Houston Institute of Technology, the Brandies Institute of Technology in Chicago Heights and the Farnsworth Undergraduate College of Kentucky.

Let's see if anyone gets it.

I'm from Indiana, but about 90 minutes from Rose Hulman. Terre Haute is Larry Bird country. Anything in particular you're wanting to know?

There an excellent restaurant in nearby Covington if your into steak!

So THAT's why the fans go nuts when we play Fordham University!

bard - good restaurants, nice hotel, what's the gym there like, etc...anything you can tell me would be helpful...unlike what Padgett decided to reply with! Also, what's the nearest major airport to fly into? Indianapolis? St. Louis? Thanks in advance...Padgett - you butt out!

I am a former "Hoosier" and grew up about 30 minutes east of Terre Haute and Rose Hulman. My brother graduated from there in the late 80s.

1. Fly into Indianapolis. Although you could fly into Terre Haute, there aren't many flights and RH is just about an hour's drive from Indy. Take I70 to the first Terre Haute exit.

2. Terre Haute has many of the "standard" hotels (i.e. Holiday Inn) and they are about 10 - 15 minutes from RH.

3. If you are a Larry Bird fan, check out the Boston Connection. He is part owner and has all sorts of memorabilia(sp?) on display.

4. Other than "cow-tipping" there isn't much to do in Terre Haute. If you are looking for good places to eat, ask about Louise's. Not sure if it is still around, but used to have the best veal parmagian anywhere.

I can't add much to what brettm had to say. There's not much in Terre Haute. But if you have the time, I strongly recommend you ask someone for directions to the Beef House in Covington. They are famous for their steaks and their rolls!
