Question

Never worked with my partner at the varsity level before but had a time or two at sub-varsity level and never heard this. This Friday night in a varsity game, we line up to shoot 2 freethrows and he tells the kids "We are shooting 1 twice." I must have given him an odd look and I know a few of the players did. Should I have said something to him (he is my elder but probably not any more varsity experience) or is it no big deal? I asked this on another post and the only reply said it was BS. Thanks for the input.

I would suggest to him that he tells the kids that they are shooting two. If one of the kids violates he can blame it on your partner. To much confusion if you use this instruction.

BKS,
Sounds like an old guy trying to be too cute.
Did he wear a gold chain, and his wrist watch also?

Ask him if what he is doing is the mechanics in the HS manual.
