Article on New Refs From Indiana

This article was in the Indy Star this morning. The writer covers HS hoops and is an acquantance of mine. Pretty basic but relevant to what we do...

Last night I worked the second of 4 non-varsity dates I have this year. I don't miss it at all. A thankless job that we all have to go through to get better.

Good article. Should have said more about the abuse, maybe.

But I disagree with Junker. I miss the lower levels when I don't do any. I like a good mix. Plenty of boys, girls, MS, varsity, 6A rivalry, 1A blowout. When it's all there, it's all good.

Thanks Coltdoggs for the article. Massachusetts ought to make this coach's statement mandatory after every game "Great game Ref. Hope to see you again"

Thanks for sharing Colt - interesting read.

"......people who start at the lower levels can take over for the ones who retire." Sheesh, some of these ole guys will never retire!

Hmm, I wonder if I'm gonna be one of them some day....

I know where I'm moving to next year. For 40-50 bucks a game on the JV level, sign me up. Thats almost double us.

Great line. I'll be sure to mention it in my pre-game with the coaches tonight.
