Wow!!! That is a textbook screen. Who says basketball isn't a contact sport??

I've actually always said that basketball is a contact sport but not a collision sport, but that might change my mind.

Bonus points for # of Welmer pants hitches:)

I assume you mean brutal screen as defender never saw it coming, it was a great screen.

Legal screen. Righteous flagrant foul call.

Near the end they showed a clip of a little fracas involving Pittman, and they briefly said something about it, but I didn't understand. Was anything called on that?

Three questions or criticisms I suppose(would like both NCAA and NFHS answers since I only do NFHS):

1) Should there have been a whistle by Welmer (or even Higgins) as soon as the jump shot was in flight since there was an injured defensive player?

2) I don't agree with Eades decision to intiate a rotation with Welmer still in the BC. Not a question, just what I noticed.

3) In HS, does the disqualified player remain on the bench even if its for a flagrant foul?

"Brutal" - poor word choice for this forum - it was definitely legal and a helluva screen.

The philosophy on this is getting two on ball side. If the crew is in sync, the "new" slot expects this to happen and knows he has to turn on the jets.

I actually like this mechanic.

1) Not sure on the NCAA rule on injuries and when to blow the play dead.

2) I know it wasn't a question, but rotations are initiated in college ball all the time w/o all three in the frontcourt.

3) Yes, in HS a DQ'd player remains on the bench.
