So what is the "official" signal for an "Officials' Timeout"? Thanks

My personal choice is an open hand raised with a sharp blast of my fox 40 drop whistle from my mouth and I say "My time" and with free hand pat my chest twice.

There isn't one "officially." There is no "officials time-out." If there was, how long would it be? A full or a 30? :) Officials can stop play in certain situations... but that really isn't a time-out. So there is no official signal. However, when stopping play in the type of situation you are thinking of, officials do often give the stop play signal followed by tapping on their chest.

Skull clapping

Another signal I've seen used by officials and myself is blow the whistle and lightly pat your head twice with an open palm. When you decide to make this call, try to lock into your head who has the ball and where the ball was when you blew your whistle. This is handy for later inbounding.

The official signal for this is Open hand goes up....(as you blow the whistle0

The clock stops and you take care of what you need to.

Dont need a signal! Dont need to tap on chest... you are stopping play to fix it, fix it and move on

That's the shot clock violation signal (in games that have a shot clock).

Agreed.
...I will then make eye contact with my partner and throw him a *Stop* to let him know I'm thinking about him and not just practicing my tunes.
