Situation help needed

An intentional foul is called on team A. Team B then disrespects the official during the dead ball and gets a "T". Who gets the ball and where is the throw in?

In NF Rules you shoot everything in order. You shoot the intentional Foul with B at the FT line. Then you shoot the T with A at the FT line and you give the ball to A at the division line opposite the table.

In NCAA Rules, you shoot the T first and then put the ball back in with POI by having B shoot the intentional foul FTs and give the ball to B at the point where the foul took place.

Peace

Two shots for fouled Team B player. Then two shots for anyone from Team A and ball at division line. Lanes cleared in both.

Team B gets two tries for the intentional foul.
Team A gets two tries for the technical foul.
Team A inbounds at the division line.

Please note Splute's comment that the fouled player on team B must shoot his FTs but anyone on team A can shoot the T. In fact, two different players on team A can shoot the two shots for the T.

Oh yeah, if the intentional foul caused the team B player to be injured to the point where he had to leave the game, his sub shoots his FTs.

I think that just about covers it. Anything else anyone?

Thank you for you quick response. That is excatly what we did. The head coach of the team the T was called was telling me we were wrong. I told him the rules state we must administer in the order in which the fouls were called. He insisted his team should have gotton the ball back after the the techinal fouls were shot. I told him had the T not been called he would have gotton the ball back.....He then said he would be calling the IHSA and tell them my rules knowledge was terrible. I told him that was fine and that it would not change the call nor would it change the fact he was not getting the ball back.....I did get a laugh out of him after that.......

Next time a coach challenges you on a rule, do what I do. Tell him you have a rulebook in your bag. Say "Let's look it up, coach. If you're right, I'll give you $100, but if I'm right, you have to wash my car, OK?"

I've never had one take me up on it. Too bad. My car could sure use it.

I can tell you that Beth and Kurt will support you when you get it right. He is just going to look stupid in the end by trying to intimidate you.

I said the same thing to a coach but instead of the hundred dollars, I said he owed me a soda. I had a blarge situation and I showed the coach the rulebook after the game (he is a good guy) and he still owes me the soda. I worked for that coach last week and I just remember I forgot to bring up the soda he owes me.

Peace

You only want to "bring up the soda" if it involves the coach's shoes.

Thumbs up

So... on a T - if the designated shooter misses the 1st, the coach can designate another player to shoot the 2nd... I didn't know that...

NF rules - yup, and it doesn't matter whether the first shot is made or missed. BTW - the team captain can designate the shooter(s) also.
