WARNING!!! OFF_TOPIC Football thread

Oregon's ahead of ASU 35-16 at the end of the third quarter. Wa--hoooo!!!

But I'm totally depressed that LSU won. Ugh.

Check out the Football's Oldest Trophy thread in the football forum.

Also, during the bowl games, refstripes.com has an excellent chat thing going.

No, I'm an Oregon fan. Especially when they're winning.

I'd rather be a Beaver than a Duck,
I'd rather get run over by a truck,
I'd rather live on spam,
Or even kiss Rosanne,
I'd rather be a Beaver than a Duck!

For a Beaver is a critter that builds new habitats,
While a Duck just gets it's butt shot off by guys in dayglow hats.

I'd rather live in Corvallis than Eugene,
I'd rather spend a week in a latrine,
I don't own a water bed,
I don't like the Grateful Dead,
I'd rather be a Beaver than a Duck!

Do not say that on the baseball board. They get a little sensitive about these kinds of things.

Peace

I'm a fan of all things Oregon, and that includes Oregon State. My oldest son and his partner both graduated from OSU, and my second son will graduate from Oregon. We'll see about the youngest. But I also cheer for anyone else from Oregon whenever they are representing our fair state. My husband and I were both born here, as were all four of our parents. 3 of my 4 children were born here (My daughter was born in Indiana, but she was adopted in Oregon!), and my son's partner and my second son's girl friend were born here as were all their parents!! And my granddaughter and her father and all their parents were born here, too. We have our own little chapter of the SNOB (Society of Native Oregon Born), the Webfoot Division (born west of the Cascades). It's probably my only claim to fame.

I know, eh?! It's quite amusing. I started reading that forum years ago for some cheap and simple entertainment.

Rather be a Tiger than either one. But, seriously, it seems that, for the most part, the only team that can beat LSU is...........LSU. Penalties and turnovers for days, yet they still found a way to pull it out. The moral of the story is: As long as the other team can't run the ball against you, AT ALL, you will always have a chance to win.

not as bad as they've had in recent years. Generally, I think green and yellow are pretty hard to make look good together. So I suppose someone figures it might as well be really awful?? But they look better and better as the season rolls on!

Figures an OSU grad can't spell a simple word like "bed".

And no, I didn't go to UO.
