After that would that mean you would not have the balls to call a T when appropriate? :D

Peace

I've also seen Jeff call fouls as a "cross body block" and an "illegal chop block". He was really fun to work with, especially one game in which he tossed both head coaches in the first quarter. This was a kids rec game.

I miss him too.

As I grew up

we went to my grandparents every Sunday. We ate, watched Larry Welk with grandma and then watched the next show, Hee Haw, with Grandpa. I'm still not right.

I used to call your grandparents. Their number is BR549. :p

We used to go to my grandmother's apartment in Hyde Park on the South Side of Chicago on Sunday nights for dinner. After dinner, the entire family, including numerous aunts and uncles, would watch Ed Sullivan in black and white. Television was still in its infancy and so was I.

"A Really Big Show"

From Mark Padgett: "Would watch Ed Sullivan in black and white."

Of course, every Sunday night it was "A Really Big Show".

I remember my slightly older, female, teenage cousins, literally SCREAMING, while they were watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show.

The night they appeared, there was a graphic in front of each one showing their names. When they got to John, the graphic showed his name and then said, "Sorry girls, he's married" or something like that. My uncle said, "Yeah, he's married to the one on the end." It was a reference to their long hair.

BTW - this incident was copied in the movie "That Thing You Do" - not the comment by my uncle, just the graphic which said, "Careful girls, he's engaged".

I am old enough BTW to have seen his show on PBS, I just turned the channel. ;)
