New Rule
I said to myself that it would never happen. But it did. Freshman boys game. I call a jump ball violation. Partner has the AP throw-in. Ball gets released and B2 kicks the ball He blows the whistle for the violation. Before he goes to reinbound the ball I get together with him to confer that he called a 'kicked ball' violation. He says YES. Then I remind him of the new rule. I go to the table and explain the rule to players, coaches, table personel and fans. They all had the 'deer looking into the head lights' look. And so it goes....

1. I brief the table, when I check the books. 2. At the conclusion of my captain/coaches pre game when I ask if there are any questions, I'm done with clinic for the night. 3. Fans will be fans, they always have that look when they're squad is losing |
