Is it possible that you became somewhat distracted by your partners and your mental focus thus dropped?
This sometimes happens to officials who are working with unfamiliar partners or ones who are inexperienced may well need to be helped. Having one's focus drift in these cases is not unusual. Especially, if one of them does something which bothers or upset you.
