Did anyone catcht that game. St. Bonaventure vs. UMass. It was reported in the newspaper the next day that the official flipped off the audience.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Also at the end of the game, the buzzer rang, and the coach of St. Bonaventure wanted to argue with the official about not calling a foul but all the officals had ran off, right at the last second. |

As for the first incident you described, I haven't heard anything about it.

He wasn't flipping anyone off. He was indicating the total number of calls the entire crowd got correct all game, and was so startled that one person even got one right, he felt he had to honor that person by indicating that.
Either the guy got that one right by accident, or else he is a ref.
