In a girls' JV game the other night, we had a post player who literally grunted every time the opposition put up a shot. Didn't matter where the shot came from, if the opponents put up a shot, she bellowed a Monica Seles-like grunt.
At the first quarter break, I joked to my more experienced partner that I couldn't stop giggling every time she grunted. He smiled, agreed, and went over to the coach and told her to politely ask her player to stop grunting, on the unsportsmanlike conduct angle.
Heard her grunt one more time when I was lead in the second quarter. As soon as she grunted, she blushed and said, "Sorry."
