I'm curious and not quite sure where to find this in the rule book. A1 shoots in the wrong goal--there are no points scored but the player is fouled. The referee calls a foul on B1 for fouling A1. How should this be handled according to High School Rules?

If the teams were set up in the wrong direction by the refs, then this is just like shooting and getting fouled at your own basket.
If, however, A1 is a knucklehead who takes off for the wrong basket and B1 is an even stupider player who fouls A1, the following happens: (Doesn't matter here, but) If the ball goes in the basket before the foul, count two points for B. If the ball goes in after the foul, no points are scored. In both cases, B1 is charged with a personal foul, and A will recieve the ball. If A is in the bonus, A1 will shoot a 1-and-1 or 2. In no circumstance would A1 recieve two shots for a "shooting foul," as a try can only be at a team's own basket.

Kristi, Mark already answered this question, but what many people don't understand is that an attempted shot at the wrong basket is NOT considered a "try or tap for goal." Therefore, none of the rules governing a try or tap for goal apply. You almost have to think of it the same way you would a bad pass that just happened to go in the basket.
