Last night I gave a T for unsportmanlike. The details:

A is winning by 6 with a min to go and in the bonus. A1 rebounds the ball and after 2 or 3 dribbles is fouled near the baseline. I am lead. I call the foul for pushing on B2. A1 apparently got fouled rather hard and right as I am bird dogging B2, A1 takes the ball and slams it right into my feet. WHACK....out comes the T. B calls a time out (which is not really important) as I am coming to report. So....

Out of the time out we have A1 shooting the 1 and bonus with no one around the lane. Then we walk the other way and have B whoever shoot the T. B's ball right. Here is the question. In NF, do we admin the Throw in at the POI or at the division line?

No matter what else happens, you will always administer the throw-in at the division line, after a T.

Exception: T to end 4th quarter. Shots tie the game. OT begins with jump ball.

The ball can actually be inbounded on either side of the floor, but the coaches do not know this.

Bigwhistle...What??? The ball can actually be inbounded on either side of the floor, but the coaches do not know this.

I think if you check the books, it specifically states that it is taken opposite scorer's table. Back in the days of Darrel Griifth and Pete Maravich you would be absloutely right, but that was changed a few years ago. Dont know the exact year but I'm sure someone here knows the year exactly

That's NCAA.

NF specifically specifies that the throw-in should be on the side of the court opposite the table.

My bad!

I must admit that since I have not ever let anyone have it tableside, I did not really look at that NF requirement.

WOW! There is some neat stuff in this book!!

We now shoot a 2 shot bonus on the 10th foul?
What happened to the lack of action clauses?
You can have the uniform numbers 1 or 2?
There is no longer a jump ball after every tie-up?
Technical fouls are 2 shots?

How am I ever gonna get all of this down?

Nor is there a jump ball after every made basket!!

Seriously, though, one of the best ways to learn the rules is to look up the situations that are presented here and then quote them by 'chapter and verse' so to speak. From time to time, you will find that what you thought was the rule actually isn't.
