A short time back there was a thread concerning pulling the plug as an official... But as I recall it came from the standpoint of knowing one's own limitations.
We have an individual in our association, in his early 70's, that IMHO should call it a career... He's been calling HS ball for over 25 years. He'll only do Varsity games and simply put, he just doesn't have what it takes anymore. Some might suggest that the assignor cut back on the number of games he gets... But as luck would have it... He is the scheduler. Have any of you had a similar sitch? Was it dealt with or just ignored like we're doing?
