Foul in middle school game, white retains ball and makes layup as scorer meekly mentions white was suppose to shoot a one-and-one. Correctable error? How? Count the basket? Have white shoot the one-and-one with the lane cleared and then give blue the ball OOB with the right to run the baseline?

Assuming this was caught in time (and it sounds like it was -- just after white's basket, and this was the first dead ball), this is a correctable error.

The basket by white counts.

Put white at the line (with no one on the line) to shoot the 1-1.

Bive blue the ball OOB with the right to run the end-line.
