comparison...you & them

I have been keeping up with the Cuban post and has led me to ask the question:

How do you compare yourself with other officials(ie nba, nc2a, and even highschool)?

I believe one of the big differences is that I call the foul at the right time, but I may call the wrong foul. For instance I may call a push foul, but after viewing tape I have noticed that perhaps the correct mechanic would have been to call a block (or hands, or whatever).

The other major difference IMHO is court positioning. A lot of the time I "think" there may have been a call, but have been slightly out of position to see (also I only ref 2-man, so this happens more than it should in 3-man).

Finally, from what I have seen, pros mechanics are perfect - crisp, clear, well timed and this is something all referees need to work on.

I guess I have been watching the wrong pros.

I prefer to watch a good, young D1 official any day.
