Would any of you who are Louisiana hoops officials please clear something up for me?

Mac Chauvin, in his rules clinics across the state, made a statement about the # of TO's that a team could carry into overtime.

Does anyone recall what he said, or how the LA ruling is to be interpreted?

For some reason, "two time outs" keeps sticking in my head. I recall that he said, "No team can have more than two time outs in overtime," or words to that effect.

But, isn't it rather unfair to disallow a team who has used NO time outs during regulation from having those available in OT?

Another official here in the N.O. area vaguely recalls the statement by Mac, but thinks that it was something to the effect of "no more than two in overtime, after all are exhausted." So, in this interpretation, a team uses all but one TO during regulation. At the beginning of the 1st OT, they get an additional full TO. If they use NEITHER in the first OT, then they will not get another for the 2nd OT, since they can have no more than TWO for any OT period.

Is this correct??

Can't be of help on your question but I do have some for you.

Who are the powers in the Public and Catholic leagues these days? Left town for college and never went back for more than a few days.

Off the top of my head

Catholic schools: Jesuit (state champs 2001); Shaw; Rummel

Public Schools: West Jefferson, Ehret, Kennedy, Salmen, McD 35

I'm sure that I give very little justice to many successful programs, but this is the group of teams who win consistently.
