What are some things that I can do to get contacts so that some JC and maybe D3 assignors can see me (other than getting to camps, I already intend on doing that). Don't get me wrong, I always have room for improvement but I think that I could handle games at that level.

Well.......

I live in the Chicagoland area. Depending on if you want to do Men's or Women's or even both, I work for a couple of assignors in the area. If you email me I can give you more information when the camp times are set.

Peace

Contacting JRutledge...

Tried to email you but your setting is set to not receive emails from this board.

My email is as follows: [email protected]

Thank you to all who have helped me with some contact information. My goal is to take this to the Pro level (minimum of D1). I understand that there are politics involved and if anyone could give me some advice as to what I can do to better my chances I would also appreciate that as well.

Again, thanks, and have good seasons to all.

I don't know what your aspirations are, but if you want to go to the women's game, there is a great D3 camp in Illinois. The web site is http://mwcofficials.com/. I went last summer and had a blast and learned alot. The price is really good too because it includes your room and board unlike a lot of camps that charge a lot then you have to find your room and food as well.

Mid West Referee School

I actually met Al Raya, the supervisor of women's basketball officials for that conference at a high school camp that I went to. He is from around where I live. I definately plan to attend his camp the next time he has one.

Smile The Right Call

I met all of the upper level officials at the camp I went to. It was a high/college camp, and the majority of the officials there were d1. They were helpful and anwsered any questions we had, that was almost more valuable than the camp itself. I built up some "connections" (other post) by going to this camp. I recieved a lot of games because of it. Good luck
