Anything yet? I'm interested in what you find. Having grown up watching 1-AA football and its playoffs, I have a fondness for it. It certainly beats the heck out of those silly bowl games and voting for a National Champion! Plus there's some pretty good football played at that level.

Keep in mind that Appalachian State has won the 1-AA championship the last 2 years, and I believe MIchigan was overrated to start with.

I'm having a hard time. Probably have to find a website that lists every poll for each year and pick out which teams might have been 1-aa at the time. I agree about 1-AA. Some pretty good NFL players have come from 1-AA.

Neil Lomax comes to mind. He was the QB when Portland State beat Delaware State 103-6. After the game, the Portland State baseball coach said (with the press listening) "I wonder if Delaware State has a baseball team?"

BTW - at the time, Darryl "Mouse" Davis was PSU's head coach and he ran the "run and shoot" offense. The team, whose official nickname is "Vikings", were jokingly called the "Fighting Mice" in those days.

Pedro pitched for the first time in nearly a year and got the win yesterday for the Mets. He also got his 3,000th strikeout. Good day for him, obviously. I'm really happy for him. His velocity is not there, maybe gone for good. Who knows? But he was still pretty effective. He sounded really humble in the post-game, too. Like he was just so happy to be back, he realized how good he had it. I'm probably reading too much into it. Congrats, anyway, to Pedro.

"The final fallout from a disastrous opening weekend for Michigan came Tuesday, when the Wolverines dropped all the way out of The Associated Press Top 25, an unprecedented fall from No. 5 to unranked.
Since the AP poll expanded to 25 teams in 1989, no team has taken a bigger tumble in one week.
Michigan also fell from No. 5 to out of the USA Today coaches' Top 25.
