When in doubt, read the rule book. It's kind of amazing what you can find in them.

The answer to the above is in POE 1A on last year's NFHS rulebook. That states "The committee expects jerseys to be worn properly <b>and remain on</b>".

Thanks - I took a lazy look at 2006-07 but did not see anything that direct. It's also amazing the collection of rule's knowledge on this forum! :)

The problem is these players - at the college level - are what the high school players and coaches see - and then they act that way and the rule is different. IMO that is certainly unsportsmanlike - taking off your shirt.
