It's now been changed. He's going to sit in the TV studio and watch all camera angles from all games simultaneously and make the calls from there. the officials at the game will only relay his calls to the scorer / teams / crowd.

after last November how is Jon going to come out retirement? praise be the heavens if he does, we really need him in this time of darkness for all officials.

i remember the day he did an NFL game in the afternoon then an NBA game early evening and a late night D1 mens college game. The only real super official to span multiple sports, a la Deon Sanders and Bo Jackson. I think his best work however was at the head linesman for the 2005 world Curling Championship in Spelunksi, Scandinavia.

Isn't this how all the NCAA finals games always have and always will be called? This isn't a change, just a realization of the omnipotence that is Jon Diebler.

Yes, but in the past the CBS officials were making the calls, with an eye toward the ratings. Now, Jon will make the calls while also considering the effect on the middle-east *and* the economy.

This is gonna be tough, I heard the Sunni community doesn't trust Diebler. Apparently he had a fling with a Shiite girl back when he was in college.

There was also a hooka pipe involved, but in a show of what a stand-up guy Jon really is, he fully admits to having inhaled. As soon as he turns 35, gets my vote for President.
