I Know About State Associations ...

From BillyMac: NFHS Rule 5-4-2 "The NFHS does not recognize protests".

I know about state associations. The only reason that I went to the rule book is to emphasis that the NFHS will not get involved with protests and that coaches, fans, etc. should not look to the NFHS Rule Book for rules regarding protests.

From the NFHS rulebook, page 10, third paragraph--<i>"It is the policy of the NFHS Basketball Rules Committee that there be no deviation from the rules unless experimental approval has been granted by the NFHS liaison to the rules committee."</i>

Iow, if a state wants to use a shot clock for instance, they certainly can do so. But by doing so, they are usually leaving themselves open to possible FED sanctions, which are usually something along the line of not allowing that state to have any representation or input on or to the NFHS rules committee.
Yep. That's what Washington lives with for its shot clock. Apparently the WIAA had decided that its a small price to pay.

Does the baseball rulebook carry the same type of language under "the Intent and Purpose of the Rules" too, Garth?
Yep.

Whatta ya got?

I got game over.

The period is over at the horn. A light is permitted to suppliment the horn but it must be in sync with the horn. Them's the rules, he can protest if he likes but he aint gonna win.

I just got a call telling me that I am at Spokane tomorrow night...Pasco vs. Shadle Park. (300 miles round trip...44 cents a mile);)
Do you happen to know who the officials are for that game?

The only way this SHOULD be overturned is if it can be proved the player released the ball before the horn, the light shouldn't have anything to do with anything.

This one does. I guess I should have typed 00:00.0
