This is one of those cases where standard precautions take precedence. If the amount of blood was incredibly small, I might leave it. Considering, however, that the contamination was from a player, I would probably ask one of the trainers/EMT's (they have them at all of your games, right?
 ) for a pair of gloves, and go carefully change the shirt.
