What do you use to keep track of milage and expenses?

Its looking like the old paper and pencil might be the best route to keep track of everything.
Excel. A column for date, type (basketball, baseball. meeting, etc), assigner, site, time, level, mileage, revenue, expense, paid (useful for follow-up on missing checks), comments.

At the end of the year, add up the mileage, revenue, expense numbers and enter on schedule C. Takes about 1 minute.
